Spain Wins Euro Millions
Spain has plenty to celebrate after a Spanish EuroMillions player scooped a triple jackpot worth €58,278,337 and Spain beat Germany 1-0 to win the Euro 2008 football tournament.
The EuroMillions jackpot of €58,278,337 (which is around £46,162,270) was won by a player matching the five main numbers (which were 5, 20, 26, 44, 50) and the two Lucky Star numbers (5 and 7).
Surprisingly, the EuroMillions jackpot winner made more money over the weekend than the Spanish football team, which picked up “just” €23 million (around £18 million) for winning the Euro 2008 title. They also had to put in a lot less effort!
The EuroMillions lottery jackpot has now been reset to its base line of €15 million (around £11 million) and no doubt plenty of Spanish players will be seeing if they can make the most of the good luck that their nation is currently enjoying.
