Canadian lottery winner does “happy dance”
A lottery player from Toronto, Canada, was so overcome when the numbers on his Daily Keno ticket netted him a $100,000 prize that he couldn’t stop his feet from dancing. Andre Kolompar, a 55-year-old union representative, paid an extra dollar to play the ENCORE game when he went to buy lotto tickets. And the decision resulted in him scooping a six figure prize.

The grandfather of one, who is a regular lottery player, told organisers: “When I realised I had a match for six numbers, I did my happy dance. I didn’t think it was real.”
Mr Kolompar said he has a few ideas of how he will spend his unexpected cash windfall. He is determined to take a vacation first of all and may also splash out on a new car when he returns.
Another Canadian lottery player is also celebrating a big win. Manuel Silva received a scratchcard as one of his birthdays gifts which turned out to be worth $1,000 a week for life. But rather than wait for annual payments, the 52-year-old, who is married with three children, opted to take a $675,000 lump sum.
