Powerball officials in New Zealand are celebrating the biggest ever jackpot win after $19,054,243 was scooped by a single winning ticket on Saturday 5 April. The owner of the ticket, which was bought at a Pak N Save store in New Plymouth, had not come forward to claim their prize at the time of writing.

A single Georgia Lottery ticket has scooped a MegaMillions jackpot of $270 million, according to unconfirmed reports coming in from the state. The Georgia Lottery itself won’t confirm any details of the winner the winning ticket is brought in for validation, but other reliable sources, including local television and press, say that the ticket was bought by Robert and Tonya Harris.

A lottery prize worth $77,000 was won by a man who got bored at a fuel station as he stood waiting for his tank to fill. Matthew Brown, who lives in Carrollton, Texas, decided to buy a Spicy Hot 7’s scratch card ticket to relieve his boredom, and a few minutes later he had won the last remaining top prize in the game.
