Arkansas Lottery

The Arkansas Lottery began by selling scratch-off lottery tickets  on 28th September. The main purpose of the Arkansas Lottery is to provide financial backing for the people of Arkansas, who are enrolled in public and private, non-profit two year and four year colleges within the state. All profits from the Arkansas Lottery have been pledged to the cause.

There are currently (October 2009) eight scratch-off tickets available in the Arkansas Lottery. These games are called, Super 7s, Arkansas Riches, 3 Times Lucky, Money Madness, Crazy 8s, Money Bags, $100,000 Cash Bonanza and Jumbo Bucks. The Super 7s and $100,000 Cash Bonanza lottery scratch-off games cost $5 each and top prizes of $77,777 and $100,000 respectively.

There are four  $2 tickets to play in the Arkansas Lottery. Money Madness offers  prizes of up to $18,000. Crazy 8s offers up to £18,888, Jumbo Bucks offers up to $25,000 and Arkansas Riches up to $20,000.  Money Bags and 3 Times Lucky each cost $1 and offers a top prize of $2,000 and $3,000 respectively.

You are currently only able to buy lottery tickets for the Arkansas Lottery from designated retailers. However with the introduction of the Powerball multi-state lottery on 31st October and the launch of the Arkansas State Lottery on 14th December you will soon be able to buy lottery tickets on-line, which may in time see the scratch-off lottery tickets follow suit.

The Arkansas Lottery aims to add new games every month and with the State Lottery and Powerball the next two games to come on board before the end of the year, we will see more alternative lottery games featuring in the Arkansas Lottery in early 2010 as well as scratchcards.
